PADI Equipment Specialist with Dive The World Burma

Want to learn more about how your equipment operates and learn valuable care techniques from a Myanmar dive professional? Then check into the PADI Equipment Specialist programme.

During your PADI Equipment Specialist course, you'll familiarise yourself with the operation and maintenance of your own personal scuba diving equipment. Whether you're missing an O-ring, experience a wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap, the course teaches you to manage basic repairs and adjustments. This is not an extensive equipment-repair programme; however, topics covered include:

  • Theory, principles and operation of diving equipment;
  • Routine, recommended care and maintenance procedures, and equipment storage;
  • Common problems with equipment and recommended professional maintenance procedures (may include a demonstration of repair procedures);
  • Simple suggestions for comfortable equipment configurations and an introduction to new equipment (optional trying of new or unfamiliar equipment in confined water may be included).

If you’re at least 10 years old and Scuba Diver certified or higher, you can participate in this course.

Note: Dive equipment repair and maintenance should only be carried out by dive professionals that have received the appropriate training.
