Diving Myanmar Courses

Soaring through the water with a propulsion vehicle (DPV) is like flying through space - you have to experience it to believe it! DPVs offer a thrilling ride and a way for scuba divers to see a lot of underwater territory in a short period of time.

PADI Dive Propulsion Vehicle Specialty Course with Dive The World Burma

Your Myanmar diving PADI DPV programme will include 2 open water dives, which may be conducted in one day. The first dive allows you to practice basic vehicle handling skills, buzzing over one of the reefs, and the second one prompts you to plan and execute a typical DPV dive.

During the programme, you'll cover the knowledge and techniques used when diving with an underwater propulsion vehicle.

Topics covered include:

  • The planning, organisation, problems, and hazards of diving with a DPV;
  • Equipment considerations including battery care, maintenance and precautions;
  • Proper procedures for:
    • Avoiding propeller entanglements,
    • Vehicle failure,
    • Descents and ascents,
    • Runaway motor,
    • Determining a turnaround point;
  • Techniques to avoid harming fragile aquatic life;
  • Techniques for entering and exiting the water with a dive propulsion vehicle.

You can take this course if you're an Open Water Diver and at least 12 years old. The DPV elective dive from the Adventures In Diving programme may be counted toward the certification requirements of this specialty.
